How We Work

When engaging a PR or Social Media agency it’s always useful to understand how they work, exactly what they will be doing on your behalf, what you can expect from them and what they will need from you. At Panpathic, this is how we work…

PR

First we sit down with you and talk. We’ll want to know why you want to do PR, what you hope to gain, what you offer, your target audience, your message, etc.

From here we can advise you on whether PR is right for you and your business or book. If we don’t believe it’s right – we’ll tell you. We’ll explain why and offer alternative ideas, and if appropriate recommend someone to help you. If we feel that PR is right for you but we aren’t the right agency for you – again, we’ll tell you. We’re not right for everyone, so let’s not pretend!

Assuming PR is right for you, and we’re right for you and you’re right for us (that’s a lot of rights!) we’ll develop a strategy for you and explain our thinking and how this will work. For example, this might involve deciding on the sorts of topics that will deliver the coverage or audience you’re looking for.

We will draw up a list of press contacts that are right for your target audience.

We’ll work with you on the content (exactly how we do this varies a lot from client to client). Most clients write their own articles with guidance from us. However, we can also write the articles for you if required.

We’ll send out the press release or pitch to the journalists on the targeted list, and then we’ll get on the phone and call them in order to sell-in your story. Just sending out emails will get you very little – it’s the conversations that make all the difference.

As coverage is achieved we’ll let you know about it and advise you how to leverage it on Social Media and your website.

If we feel that Social Media is right for you but we aren’t the right agency for you – again, we’ll tell you. We’re not right for everyone, so let’s not pretend!

Assuming Social Media is right for you, and we’re right for you and you’re right for us (that’s a lot of rights!) we’ll develop a strategy for you and explain our thinking and how this will work. This will involve deciding on the type of content, the relevant platforms, the tone of voice etc. needed to engage your target audience.

We will also draw up a list of the types of Social Media profiles that reach your target audience.

We’ll create the content, we’ll post it, we’ll RT, like and follow, and we’ll engage with your followers and create conversations. We’ll work to increase both your numbers and your engagement (i.e. quantity and quality) – and we’ll keep you posted on progress or questions and feedback that you need to be aware of.

We’re results focused, so we want to see your Social Media getting results – but be warned, it’s a long game, not a quick fix.
